For as long as he can remember, Danny has had an interest in hair and traditional style. He began his career in hair 32 years ago in Houston, TX. He has worked in San Fransisco, Denver, and Albuquerque. After moving back to Austin in 2013, he started working at Bob Salon then moved to Layer Beauty Boutique 6 years ago. Dan has had extensive education in cutting, coloring, and specialized highlighting techniques. Dan has attended workshops with Wella Pro hair color along with cutting courses with various specialists.

Dan approaches color and cutting from a simple and elegant perspective with special attention to client lifestyles, taking time to listen to their wants and adapting a style that reflects them. Dan finds time to stay ahead of the current trends and is always eager to learn new things.

TERESSA COLEY - STYLIST

With a heavy art family influence, Teressa grew up always looking for ways to be creative and artistic. Once reaching high school, she knew that the traditional college wasn’t her path and began studying cosmetology before even graduating high school.

She became a licensed cosmotologist in 2011 and when moving to Austin in 2017, Teressa found her Layer Beauty family and made our salon her home. Teressa finds remaining teachable a must and continues to find new ways to grow and create. Connection and trust with her clients is something she values deeply while helping hair goals come to life. Healthy beautiful hair and good vibes is Teressa’s motto!

NICK SILVA - STYLIST

Originally from South Texas's Rio Grande Valley, Nick moved to the Austin area in 2013, where his passion for hair ignited during his time with UT's Spark Magazine.

Since becoming a licensed stylist, Nick has mastered his styling skills at DryBar and joined the Layer team in 2021. Nick's favorite services include lived-in color, balayage, vivids, blowouts, Brazilian Blowout smoothing treatments, and long layered cuts.

SALON POLICIES

Cancellation / LATE Policy

Without proper notice of cancellation, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time. Please understand this policy is in effect to support and respect our talented stylists and their time here at the salon. 

Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the appointment will result in a charge of 50% of the reserved service amount.

Clients who cancel more than twice will be required to submit a deposit up to 100% of the total cost of services requested when booking future appointments. This deposit is nonrefundable and will go towards the services reserved. Any remaining balance will be due during the appointment booked.

At stylist discretion, a reschedule may be necessary if you are more than 15 minutes tardy for your appointment. 

no-show policy

No-show's will be charged 100% of the reserved service amount. Clients more than 15 minutes late to their appointment are considered a no-show and may only be rescheduled following payment of missed service.

PRODUCT Policy

Layer Beauty Boutique guarantees all products sold. For product purchases, Layer Beauty Boutique will accept returned product within 30 days of purchase and refunds will be in the form of credit for future product purchases only. Credit from refunds may not be utilized for services.

Alcohol POLICY

Layer Beauty Boutique provides an array of wines, beers, sodas, and coffees. In order to continue providing these refreshments, we request that no outside alcohol be brought into the salon and none be taken from the salon. We reserve the right to refuse alcoholic beverages to clients at our sole discretion.

If you are looking for a big change or are looking for unnatural tones such as blues, purples, and greens, we've got you covered! We appreciate your understanding that processes such as these usually take more than one appointment and results will vary depending on a number of factors.

The first step of this process is to schedule your complimentary consultation. During this consultation, initial pricing will be estimated and a plan will be developed between you and your stylist to reach the desired results. To book your Color Correction or Creative Color appointment, a non-refundable deposit of $100 will be due at the time of booking. This deposit will be subtracted from your service total during your appointment. In the event you do not show up for your appointment, break our cancelation policy or reschedule within 24 hours of your appointment, you forfeit the non-refundable $100 deposit and it will no longer go towards your services.
